Our installation on Casper (module load vapor) does not come with HDF5 plugins needed for ZFP compressed NetCDF files.

@sgpearse will reach out to Brian to see if we can simply use our AppImage

Potentially, we may want to deprecate our bundling of the HDF5 plugins and put that responsibility on the user
