I am using octoprint. When the filament runs out it triggers a filament change sequence which pauses the print moves the head to the corner and maintains the printing temperature. On the octoprint terminal it displays "echo:busy: paused for user" repeatedly and won't allow any commands through. The problem is some of the buttons on the printer touch screen don't work.

The three important buttons which don't respond after pressing them (there is a beep but no action):

  • Load
  • Unload
  • Resume

The other problem is all of the octoprint buttons become greyed out in order to reset things I need to stop the print (that button works on the machine) then turn the printer off then back on. If I just stop the print none of the machine controls work

Can there be an update to the firmware to:

  1. make the nozzle temperature turn to 0 after like 5 minutes of waiting in the filament change sequence with no actions
  2. make the touch screen buttons work during the filament change sequence
  3. allow octoprint to interact with the machine
  4. fix the issue of stopping a print leads to printer controls to stop working
