gdal.netcore - Support and Roadmap

Hi community,

I really appreciate your support for this repo and I'm glad to see that these packages are usefull for you.

I found that @szekerest from the official GDAL community is intensively working on .net core build support and soon they will provide official packages. The official packages will bring us more drivers and stable builds (even of MacOS #20 and other systems).

• Add build support for .NET core OSGeo/gdal#1368

I will continue to maintain this repo, as often as I can, for non critical issues in frequency of 3-4 weeks.

If anyone wants to contribute there are several important steps in our todo list (in order of importance):

• port pipeline to nmake/cmake for windows
• Create and configure Travis CI build tests.
• Add more drivers - NetCDF, XLS, MongoDB, etc.
• Add support configuration for concrete gdal version (2.4, 3.1, etc).

If you can do this - create a concrete issue and we will discuss the further steps.
