Feedback on the lesson plan for lesson 1

General Feedback

  • May want to link slides higher up so that they're easy to find, given the other resources are more optional
  • Slides aren't linking properly, getting an "in owner's trash" error.

Intro to course

  • provide the links for the repo/tracker in the lesson plan

In Class Activity I

  • format this section better for easier readability. Would be good to break it down using sub-headers. here's an example (doesn't include everything, but the formatting is what's more important):
## In Class Activity I (45 min)

### Research (15 min)
- The class will be divided into 5 groups.
- Each group will research a specific method to save data (these will be assigned at random).
    - The purpose is to get a general idea of how it works, you don't need to learn how to implement it now.

### Discussion (10 min)
Each member of the group will contribute to a presentation of their method. Your presentation should include the following:
- 3 key points describing the persistence Method
- Pros
- Cons
- Mention some use cases

Advanced Persistence Technologies

  • Include practical examples of each of these. Examples should be able to concretely show why we use one tool in a given use case.
  • This may also be a good place to do a worksheet. Explain the technologies and then have them match technologies to use cases
