The use of containers instead of apps directly installed on the host system increases security and privacy. Anyway the apps developers states that Apps shouldn't gather any sensitive data from users. The only data they will have is what will be necessary for their services. This includes for example your email address and your IP address. Apps' connection should be inaccessible by outsiders and fully encrypted. All of them use a very small percentage of your unused internet bandwidth to perform searches such as Price Comparison, Brand Protection, Web Scraping, Ad Verification, QA Testing, and so on. According to the creators of the various apps used here, all of these activities are safe and carried out only on behalf of verified customers who have passed their security standards such as companies and brands that have business relationships with them; So their use should be safe and risk-free. Visit the apps webpages to get more details.
The resources used are minimal both in terms of hardware resources used (CPU, RAM, Disk Space) and in terms of internet bandwidth used. In my tests on PC and Raspberry, the consumption on the CPU after the start-up phase is negligible, the maximum RAM occupied has always remained below 500 MB and the use of the internet bandwidth, due to the nature of the apps, has not been continuous but is sporadic and never exceeded more than 1 Mbps overall.
