The official documentation states that <hyph> (https://dariah-eric.github.io/lexicalresources/pages/TEILex0/TEILex0.html#TEI.hyph) can be employed. Validating a document with https://github.com/LingSIG/Dictionaries/blob/master/Lex0.rng fails because this element is excluded globally:
