Failed to initialize instance of polcore! #6345

Often an issue with the retail install... probably a bad registry entry and it cannot find the instance. Sometimes as simple as a mismatch between language/region--it looks for different keys depending on the settings (like PlayOnlineUS, PlayOnlineEU, etc.). |

Not familiar with Horizon's requirements (some use a locked or even customized version), but the core LSB forks need a proper retail install to work properly. The base branch recently had an update to bring the server in line with SE's September release of the retail client... that is what it is expecting to find. There are also different releases for different regions, as well as language options. This can lead to data being stored in the registry under different keys. If the launcher is configured to look for the US/English options it will not find the files to launch the EU client, regardless of what language is configured there. So you also need to make sure these are aligned as well. Will also need to make sure your launcher is pointing to the proper address when launching as well (usually has a parameter like --server that calls an IP or domain address). |
