Hi, I entered Yughott Grotto for the first time today and was met by a wall of mobs in the first cave section. I counted 14 orcs in total. I went and checked on live and see 5 of them at that location. Going through the code I don't see any system that limits active mobs (besides for night mobs). Everything in mob_spawn_points.sql is used. Is this intentional? Is the data correct and there's a system missing? Is it just the data not reflecting what's on live? Were spawns points captured in some way or they were hand placed by someone? Thanks :) |

There is a feature we haven't implemented yet where some of these mobs would share a spawn "slot" with each other. partial groundwork was laid for it already. Spawn points are captured from retail but bear in mind we can only capture where a mob is at and that includes dead mobs - so players pulling it to a safe spot means we can wind up with those being not safe spots on private servers and some manual tweaking needed, or going on retail to catch the respawns to capture them "naturally" again (much preferred). |

Oh nice. I'd be curious to look at that ground work. Is it pushed or still in a branch? |
