I have a server using project-topaz. Is that database compatible with LandSandBoat? What process should i follow to safely migrate user data? |

yes. its continuing from it, same thing really we just stopped using the topaz name. so anywhere you see a database name different from what you are using at your server, just put the name you have there instead. use the dbtool to upgrade your database with any new columns and such we've added since. |

I'm guessing those didn't get added on express update due to them being protected. Might need to add those tables outside of the tool (the sql files are located in the sql/ directory. |

I didn't think we were applying migrations for adding new tables, but then again, I don't see where they would get added in a dbtool upgrade |

i also want to update in case anyone runs to this. zoneip in zone_settings was overwritten during the update, disabling everyone outside my network from logging in, hitting a black loading screen... |

thats easy enough to fix. and even in the beginning of dsp one always expected to have to redo that. save setting your zone ip in a query to a separate file to keep on hand. for the other error just load the char_history.sql file, its new so nothing to overwrite there. I mistakenly thought the db tool would add the missing table during its upgrade. |

I'm trying to figure out why there is no further text to your error message. these normally say WHAT errored - line number, something nil, bad comparison, etc. for it to have nothing thought maybe the function was missing on your copy somehow. |
