The calendar button in date fields usage is unclear. It seems that clicking on it toggles the date requirements. 1 click for year, month, and day. Another click and the date requirement is year and month, and another click for year only. That seems to be the behavior we see, but I'm not sure if that's intended.

If that is the intended behavior, is there a way to show where the requirement is at the time? Each click resets the field, so sometimes you just have to keep clicking until you find the right one.

Yes the button toggles three modes of dates:

  • Full Date
  • Month and Year
  • Year only

Can you please give me more informations on which screen it resets the fields? I tried a few and nowhere the value was cleared.

On OSX, the date disappears after clicking the calendar icon. You have to retype the date int he new format.
