Eyes Mate: Application to Help the Blind

Overview

EyesMate is a mobile application designed to assist visually impaired individuals in their daily lives. Utilizing machine learning, the app offers features like object recognition, distance measurement, text reading, currency recognition, and face recognition. The intuitive swiping system allows easy activation of these features, ensuring accessibility and ease of use.

Features

• Object Recognition: Identifies objects in the environment.
• Distance Measurement: Measures the distance to objects.
• Text Reading: Reads text from images or documents.
• Currency Recognition: Identifies different currencies.
• Face Recognition: Recognizes faces from a stored database.

Technologies Used

• Flutter: For cross-platform mobile app development.
• TensorFlow Lite: For on-device machine learning.
• Firebase: For user authentication and database management.

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/Islam-hady9/application-to-help-the-blind-eyes-mate.git

2. Navigate to the project directory:

   cd application-to-help-the-blind-eyes-mate
   cd eyes_mate_app

3. Install dependencies:

   flutter pub get

Usage

1. Run the app on an emulator or physical device:

   flutter run

2. Register or log in using Firebase authentication.
3. Swipe through the interface to access different features.
