Remove or manipulate layers

Hi ! thank you for this library. looks really amazing !
I'm pretty aware of the lib limitations. I wish to know it there is any fork/plan or another library able to deal with pdf-illustrator-like layers (even groups or paths) for further manipulation (in my current case I only need to delete some elements)
could be node or web based.
any thought will be appreciated !
