Hi,

First of all, sorry for the not-so-technical issue I am opening here.
On multiple devices, both framework 13 and framework 16, external portable monitors requiring both power delivery and video output, all through USB-C are not working, while working on other computers, same external screen, same cable.

The only way to get the screen to work is to:

  1. plug the external screen on a power bank to turn it on a give it power,
  2. plug the usb cable between the laptop and the screen,
  3. the screen is correctly recognized and I can use it! However, as soon as a unplug the power bank, it stops working even though it is still connected to the laptop.

For the sake of reference: https://community.frame.work/t/external-monitors-hdmi-and-dp-alt-mode-not-working-on-linux/

Other reports, notably with the insight of one user suggesting an issue with the USB PD: https://www.reddit.com/r/framework/s/Ep6P8vJ3tK

Sorry in advance if I'm not opening this issue in the correct place.
