I though I'd open a new issue since that is now focused soley on Loki / LT5 / FEAR2 research. I've progressed already quite far and think I've deocded most of the file formats, again with big help from your existing work Amphos.
You were totally right that the render surfaces, especially being spread across instances, are quite messy :-) Again, most of it works right now, but what's blocking me is a small number of dynamic geometries (WorldModels) that I just can't place properly. These WMs don't have absolute coordinates, and the faces coordinates are simply around the origin. There is not an obvious connection between the render tree and the WMs in LT5 as it seems, at least I haven't found it :-)
In any case, I promised to share my findings, so I created a repo, which might come in handy for you too (like the .bt templates) - feel free to use as you like. :-)
Of course, if at any time in the future you can have a look at this issue, I'd be super-happy to make also progress in this area since I've nearly given up on that topic myself ;-) The rest of the missing stuff seems more or less straightforward.
