Non of the following scenarios produce correct metadata - the block range and epoch range are mostly just kept the same as the original patch:
util-db merge --aida-db PATCH1 PATCH2
util-db merge --aida-db TARGETPATH PATCH1 PATCH2

Along with mock tests for easier testing I would suggest adding aida-db testnet patches to repository.
