Describe the bug
Have a dependency conflict issue while make a new pr #2587. it seems that there are some conflicts while installing numpy.

@valeriupredoi Is it something you are aware of? I have not had a close look to be honest.

The branch is so old that it still requires numpy < 2. Updating the branch will solve the issue.

just saw this now - indeed, @schlunma met the worst of Meson in his PR, only it was the other way round: in 2.11.1 we needed numpy<2 but the test container was built with numpy==2+. Fixing conflicts and merging main into the branch will fix that, as Bouwe mentions 👍
