The mod can already change this parameter on its own, there is a dialog that prompts the user to setup and restart Noita automatically:

It's just that when Noita restarts it overwrites the config.xml again, therefore that dialog modifies the config and then purposefully crashes Noita... It's not an optimal solution, and sometimes there will be another dialog due to different reasons. But as long as you follow the advice of the dialoges, most settings will be applied by the mod automatically, it just needs one or more restarts, unfortunately.

This would be less of a problem with some external script/executable which would modify any config files and then starts (See #13 for such a solution). But i wanted to keep the mod as simple as possible, so users don't have to bother with external json files, powershell/batch scripts or similar. But instead they only have to endure some annoying restarts, at least to set up everything initially.

I think the stitching may be a memory issue; they occur more frequently toward the bottom right of the output img

What do your mod settings look like? And does the mod set up everything correctly if you press > Setup and close (May corrupt current save!)?

From my basic testing the mod did always ask me to change the resolution by restarting... Maybe there is a corner case where the mod doesn't ask, or doesn't set the right resolution. But i couldn't find that yet. It would be nice if you could give some more details.

Also, this doesn't look like missing chunks (which are 512x512 px), but smaller regions that are missing (more like 256x256 px). I've seen something similar before, but mostly just at the left border to the next parallel world. Also, fully missing/non-rendered chunks should be a thing of the past now, at least with version 2.11.1 and up. Can you look over your raw image captures and check if there are any glitches in there, and post an example.

What were your stitcher settings, because by default the stitcher does a median blend of all the overlapping captures, which should eliminate these missing (sub)chunks. What image format were you exporting with the stitcher?

Recorded a video of opening it, merely going in settings for the mod seems to confuse it and it fullscreens still, though i think it as least doable now after a restart.
You'll see when it's recording that corners of chunks are seemingly being missed out (not checking before capturing?)
I quickly tested to see if using dev freezing had any positive effect though it turns out to do nothing other than hold thew recording up.

The stitching was my error! I got confused as the blend limit was 9 as default and the readme notes said about setting to 1 or 0. For everything else I just left as anyhow. I see how that's working now, stitching is all good.

I may be wrong, but it seems like extended works with less hiccups than main world does. Main world rendering has only ever crashed for me at around 3780 frames, consistently too.

I should also note, i'm on the beta branch, if that has much an affect?

Ok, i've encountered this issue before. If you visit Noita settings, the game can't match the custom resolution to its list of valid resolutions, and so it falls back to the current display resolution when you close the settings again. That doesn't always happen, and it's something i don't have control over. The mod can't really tell that the settings have changed until you restart the game, so it doesn't offer to change it for you.

Ok, i see now. It's really missing chunks, and i was confusing it with another artifact that looked similar, but only affected smaller parts of chunks. Just for info, this is how chunks are aligned in a 1024x1024 screen capture:

But i just remember now that chunks don't fully load in the dev build when mTrailerMode is not enabled. This is set by the mod automatically, unless the Noita version is newer and not supported yet...

The blend limit setting is always a tradeoff between the stitcher not being able to correct missing chunks (when set to 1), or having moving objects getting a bit blurry (when set to anything else). Unfortunately there is no general best setting.

TL;DR:

• Enable mTrailerMode in the F7 menu of the dev build. You can also disable the UI rendering in there, and some other stuff.
• Stitch with blend limit set to 1 as you have done before. Now that there should be no more missing chunks it should work fine and give "crisper" results.

I will update the mod and try to mitigate some of these problems you have encountered.
