Work Flow: NovaSeq X v1 Protocol: NovaSeq X v1 Step: Define Run Format and Calculate Volumes (NovaSeq X)
Description:
When running the EPP "0. Check Indexes", we get a log file with information about clashing indexes in the step, if two or more samples share the same index. This is a very important check in our routine to not pool same-index samples together on a flowcell.
However, if no indexes are clashing in the step, we get information about this after running the EPP, but this is not shown when the step is completed, and there is no information in the log file. We now write this manually in the comment field to assure that the check indeed was made but everything looked good.
Instead of manually writing that the index check passed, it would be great to automate this assurance.
A suggestion is to have a process UDF with a toggle switch on either "yes" and "no", stating if the index check was done - The script for the "0. Check Indexes" EPP could update the process UDF to "yes" after have been run.
