As a production user,
I want a validation that would fail if the customer requests Scout upload, but there is no existing DNA sample for the RNA sample,
So that we increase the transparency of why we cannot receive such orders and also direct the user to other possible solutions.

Work impact

Answer the following questions:

  • Is there currently a workaround for this issue? If so, what is it?
    • Yes, the upload of the case will fail, after which we have to contact the customer for the DNA case. If it exists we have to either change the subject ID of the DNA or the RNA sample and start the upload. If there is no DNA sample, we have to change the data delivery and deliver it without Scout.
  • How much time would be saved by implementing this feature on a weekly basis?
    • 1-2 hours? The delivery is delayed by days.
  • How many users are affected by this issue?
    • All production bioinfo members
  • Are customers affected by this issue?
    • Yes, they have delayed deliveries

Clarification of acceptance criteria

  • Validate that an RNA case that has scout delivery has a DNA case when ordering
