I am about to buy a MCZ pellet stove for my workshop.
There seems to be a new version of Maestro labelled M2 or Maestro 2.0 along with a new app.
I assume the gateway does not work with the new version? Anyone tried to use the gateway with new version?

It seems the hardware on the stove is different. So I don't think it will work. The old app was unreliable and unsafe, so hopefully they have fixed this.

Somebody with this new version should try to figure out how it communicates, and make a new script.

I bought a Musa Air with maestro. The stove provides a private wifi network SSID looks like a serial number MCZ- When connecting it request a passphrase, did anybody figured out what this passphrase is? To write a new script might be possible when one can connect to the stove....

Maybe contact your dealer?

If you could connect to the stove you could try using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.greyshirts.sslcapture&hl=nl&gl=US to intercept traffic while sending commands to the stove and try to analyse it in WireShark.

I've got a MCZ EGO UP! M2 - same problem :-(

If someone has an idea...

You can use https://github.com/Crisicus/maestro_mcz/tree/main/custom_components/maestro_mcz/maestro, it's written in python and it's working for MAESTRO M2.0

Did someone figured out a way to connect to an M2 Maestro oven locally? Would really love to have a MQTT solution without cloud.

You can use this => https://github.com/Robbe-B/maestro_mcz
It's still cloud based, but we are still actively working on making this integration as seamless as possible.
