[Request] Is Budgie still planning switching its desktop architecture to Qt? #5
Comments
No plans on detailing anything of the sort on the Budgie website. There have been several preemptive announcements about Budgie 11's use of basically all the toolkits (EFL, Qt5 back in the day, GTK4) and I would rather just show off Budgie 11 when it is ready to be daily-driven, even in a barebones / limited state. Other information about Budgie 11 will be fleshed out as we iterate and solidify architectural and technical decisions on it, via #4 |
ahah! Nice one!!! |
No we already have announced it won't be GTK and that is a certainty. Plenty of other choices though ;) |
oh, that part is decided! Ok... Will wait to see which toolkit is chosen, then :) |

Use-cases
Hi.
This is not a request for the actual desktop, but instead for the desktop homepage.
But first: Is Budgie still planning switching its desktop architecture to Qt in v11?
If so, i believe there should be some reference to it or any kind of roadmap mentioning the transition to Qt on the homepage... (i could not find it anywhere...)
