Description

When i have 2 or more windows open in virtual desktop 1, and i go to another virtual desktop, when i come back budgie doesn't remember the window i was focused in.

This is cumbersome if you are copying a text from something in another virtual desktop, as your key presses are not registered unless you have a window in focus.

Pay attention to the window buttons of the theme im using, they showcase the problem perfectly.

Magpie version

0.9.3-3

Operating System

Arch Linux/EndeavourOS

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. open two windows in workspace 1 and focus one that can have text received (for better testing)
  2. go to workspace 2
  3. go back to workspace 1 and try typing, nothing will happen, you are not focused on any window.

Actual result

Windows are not focused properly

Expected result

That windows remember what one is focused

Additional information

This also happens when switching workspaces using keyboard shortcuts, the budgie panel interaction doesn't change the result.
