Hi!

Is there remote access after configuring nerdminer?

I tried to use the brains pool. After a while, I tried to check the activity on the website (https://braiins.com/pool), but there was no activity. I accessed the "Workers" menu and there was no device. In the "Connect Workers" option, the instructions are to use the userID / password, but in the nerdminer configuration there is no such option. How can I make this configuration?

Hi, mainly the usedID is the place were is requested BTC address and password is fixed. We could add this feature nod difficulty. But still will not be enough hashrate to let you see anything on brainsPool, because they doesn't support low difficulty devices

Hi,

Just looking at buying the T-Display S3. There are 4 options "S3 Not Solder PIN", "S3 Solder PIN", "S3 with Shell Black", "S3 With Shell Grey". I'm not sure about the Not Solder/Solder. Any thoughts on what I should buy? TIA.

It doesn't matter for this application. If you want to do further hardware development you might want the pins soldered onto the holes. That's the way I like them.

If it is just for use with NerdMiner you do not need the 'S3 Solder PIN'; meaning the version with header pins pre-solder to the board.

If you want the LilyGo T-Display S3 and a LilyGo case to go with it then you can select either the "S3 with Shell Black" or "S3 With Shell Grey" depending on if you want the case to be Black or Grey.

However, if you don't want any case, or if you want to 3D print your own case - for example these:

or others, then you should get the "S3 Not Solder PIN"; meaning the version without the header pins pre-soldered to the board.

Of note, I have found putting a fan on the case, as with the 3d printable files from the github link above, to be totally unnecessary (other than some may feel it looks cool).

Also, you should note you can get the LilyGo T-Display S3 from:
Lilyo themselves
Ali Express , or often
Amazon.

Please note: for use with NerdMiner you do not want the touch version of the LilyGo T-Display S3 nor the LilGo T-Display S3 AMOLED.

Hello @BitMaker-hub or @romanmashta or everyone, how can i create a new sizes of scren as this PR? I want to create for my TTGO 1.14 (135x240).

You can check Drivers folder, and use display/tDisplayDriver.cpp and device/nerdMinerV2 as base for your device. This folder contains code specific to 4 different devices. You can examine how they are defined and implemented new device the same way.

Also, you have to add your new device in platform.ini file. And register driver in drivers.h file. By conditionally including device definition. Please see drivers.h file also. Probably you have to modify lib/TFT_eSPI/User_Setup_Select.h to enable TFT_eSPI for your device. Please check it as well.

Or maybe... if there is no rush. I will try to make a branch with driver files and definitions for that device on this weekend, so you can take it after and implement screen drawing functions. Will it work for you? I don't have TTGO 1.14 to test, so it probably will not work out of the box. But you will have something to start.

Thank you, i am working in progress for create it and i'll request your review when i open the PR :) . I didn't specify well, but my biggest question is how you created the bytes for different screen formats in src/media, Don't need the original images to convert, as shown in this video?

Ah, I see. I used some hacky custom made python script, that we made together with ChatGpt, to get original images from arrays to PNG, and then back from PNG to arrays after those PNGs is edited to fit screen. I did not have original arts either. But if you have images already you can try to use this online service

Hello, I'm wondering why my nerdminer works fine over a shared network on my mobile phone, but shows 0Kh/s when connected to a router! 🙏

I am not an expert (I have payed to get my router properly setup) but if you have a chance connect your NerdMiner to some friends network and see if it works or not. I assume this will be blocker on the router. Firewall? Or maybe you provider is blocking something?

Thank you for your reply! Actually, it sometimes works, while sometimes doesn't. The miner may disconnect suddenly when it is connecting router. I have wondered about the relationship between bandwith and miner, but the internet said they were not related.

So this is a bit different issue - I am observing that too. I am running simultaneously couple of miners and have seen 0 for hashrate on at least on 2 of them from 5. I have also seen one was rebooting randomly. I have ordered heatsinks and until it will be assembled I keep all miners off. I am not planing to use fans.

This is also motivating me to help getting temperature measurement on the LILYGO screen (there is already open PR for that).

I know there is wifi indicator on screen however I do not know if in case of connection issue it is indicated and if then how.

I would like start to contribute to project code base. I have not found any guide for that so just have installed PlatformIO (and made pull request for their docs).
I have cloned project and will try to understand how to build it locally. No experience with PlatformIO and ESP yet.

I am having a problem with two nerd miners I put to gather there Lilygo eps32 s3 T displays, they rans for 2-3 days and now won't boot or connect to the pc the lights on the board come on but not the display or its light. Did I get bad boards or did I mess up something?

I managed to reset it by running a 5v signal to the bottom of the reset switch

Ok, I think there is an small bug on 1.6.3 related to powering Nerdminer with external power supply. There is a new firmware who solves it

hello everyone. I recently got my T-display S3. I have a query, I can connect they each other? One like "main" for monitor other devices. for exemplo, one screen showing all infos like "best difficulty""32BITs shares"... thanks, this site is so helpful, i love. I new here

I believe that what you need will provide you ESP32-2432S028R.
See this picture:

You can see in the middle how many devices are mining (all are provided with the same BTC address).
Best difficulty is also provided.
