New Web Conferencing System - IEEE

The cmi5 working group is now using a WebEX (provided by the IEEE) for its weekly conferences. This same WebEx will also be used for cmi5 IEEE meetings collocated. The start date for the cmi5/IEEE meetings in still to be determined.

The new conference instructions are located on the cmi5 wiki here

cmi5 requires extension

Henry Ryng shared his experience with implementing "requires" with the group:

Since there is no XSD document link for current cmi5 “extensions” (requires and collateraCredit) The group discussed the creation of URL for it. Andy Johnson will investigation possible locations with the IEEE or ADL.

Requires - how does it interactive with MoveOn ?

• Requires restricts access until blocks/AUs MoveOn Criteria is met.
• Requires = Prerequisites

Should other Names for “requires” that are move intuitive ?

• Prerequisite

The extension page should have example Cases for "requires" and "collateralCredit" (like we do for the best practices)

ownWindow vs anyWindow

• ownWindow is used for LMS launches that are either Popup Windows (open a new window) or redirecting the current window
• Popip Windows offer more control of window chrome
• Should there be a Definitive "UsePopup" windowType ?
