cmi5 xAPI Profile
The group resumed its discussion of a cmi5 xAPI profile definition and determined that the issue should be deferred to a threaded discussion the following Github Issue:
The following xAPI Profile topics were discussed:
- Composable vs Multiple Statement Templates
- xAPI Profile functional gap - A way to specify "one or more" or "all templates" or logic for specifying which combination of templates are required.
- Zero or more – one or more.
- 2 Different use cases for xAPI profiles:
- Requirements definition
- Runtime Validation
- IEEE xAPI Profile Spec Working Group
- Project Persephone – xAPI template validator – opensource software
- Curb xAPI profile – until new release of cmi5 ?
- xAPI Profile spec questions…
- Q1 - should there be way for a template statement validator to answer yes or no to does this statement meet validation one of set of statement templates? (does it match one of template groups - cmi5 defined or cmi5 allowed)
- Q2 - Is there way for pattern to specify a specific set of templates? (a collection)
cmi5 Example (to enable composability):
- One statement template for (base) cmi5 statements
- One statement Template for cmi5 allowed
- One statement Template for cmi5 define
