cmi5 Subgroup Meeting Notes – July 21st, 2023

Specification Issues
Reviewed the following pull requests:
IEEE OpenSource Repo for cmi5
The group discussed the migration of github.IO pages:
- Remove Vendor references in examples – (sanitize)
- No references to specific products
- Adopter list will not migrate - Adopter List move to ADL?
- Gitlab Open Source Site can have “Resources” (informal documents) – most of the current github.IO pages can be “resources”:
- Best Practices (could be a formal spec but not worth it)
- cmi5 client library page? (Subject to ADL’s Open Source – Contribution agreement with IEEE)
- External links are ok – as long as there is no contextualizing or usage recommendations.
- Catapult
- Extensions – consider moving into the IEEE cmi5 spec
- Have a page that links to “articles” – Title (no abstract/description)
- Does the Github.IO site even have to move to the IEEE Open Source site? (can it stay where it is?)
Unclear if working drafts can be located? (easily shared)
Continue to use old Github.IO until ADL site can be updated?
Adoption Group vs Std Working group ?
